WASHINGTON D.C. – This week, the United States Senate passed Congressman Steve Stivers’ (R – Ohio) legislation to re-name two postal facilities located in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District after our fallen veterans. This legislation now heads to the President’s desk for his signature.
WASHINGTON D.C. – This week, the United States Senate passed Congressman Steve Stivers’ (R – Ohio) legislation to re-name two postal facilities located in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District after our fallen veterans. This legislation now heads to the President’s desk for his signature.
H.R. 1391 will rename the United States Postal Service facility located at 25 South Oak Street in London, Ohio, as the “London Fallen Veterans Memorial Post Office” in honor of the fallen veterans from the City of London and Madison County.
“This is a small measure Congress can take to honor the lives’ of brave service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms,” Stivers said. “These men and women deserve to be properly honored for their courageous service and I thank God every day that heroes like these stand on the front lines and protect our freedom.”
H.R. 4189 will rename the United States Postal Service facility located at 4000 Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio, as the “Master Sergeant Shawn T. Hannon, Master Sergeant Jeffrey J. Rieck and Veterans Memorial Post Office Building” in honor of Ohio Army National Guardsmen Master Sergeant Shawn Hannon and Master Sergeant Jeffrey Rieck.
