Congressman Steve Stivers will be one of the keynote speakers at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce’s third-annual Groundhog Day Breakfast on Monday, Feb. 2 at the Mahan Building.
Stivers, of Ohio’s 15th Congressional District, will speak on issues that encourage job creation, promote economic development and that help in putting our country’s fiscal house in order, according to the Chamber.
Following the buffet breakfast which begins at 7 a.m. Feb. 2, Dale Minyo of Ohio Ag Net Radio will discuss upcoming agricultural issues and crop production forecasts.
Another featured speaker will be Brandon Simmons, a project manager for JobsOhio, the privatized economic development organization responsible for creating jobs and attracting new capital investment to Ohio. Simmons is the dedicated point of contact for the Dayton Development Coalition, Fayette County’s economic development resource partner. He will discuss recent and future uses as well as potential clients for the county’s mega-site at Interstate 71 and U.S. Route 35.
