LANCASTER – Representative Steve Stivers (R-OH) is actively seeking a Wounded Warrior Fellow to fill a Veterans Caseworker position in his Lancaster District Office. 

This position is limited to veterans desiring to serve a two-year paid Fellowship as part of the House of Representatives Wounded Warrior Fellowship.  The Fellow will aid veteran constituents in Ohio’s 15^th Congressional District by working as a liaison with federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Department of Defense. 

“As a Brigadier General myself, serving fellow veterans is one of my utmost priorities as a Member of Congress,” Stivers said.  “I rely heavily on the caseworkers on our team to be creative problem solvers, compassionate, and dedicated – all values I know are instilled in those who wear the military uniform.”

All candidates must meet the following requirements in order to apply for the Wounded Warrior Fellowship: honorably discharged; released from active duty within the last five years; pay grades at or below E-5 or O-3; 20 percent or greater connected disability rating (Purple Heart recipients are exempt from the service connected disability rating requirement); must not be in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement (TERA) retirement.
