“The climate is changing, there is no denying that, but we have got to move beyond the debates of the past and join forces in finding solutions,” Stivers said. “That’s why I’m proud to join this caucus; its goal is right there in the name – solutions. We need to work together to balance environmental protections, incentivize innovations, while supporting access to affordable energy that can meet our daily needs, and I am confident that this bipartisan group is going to lead that discussion.”

WASHINGTON – Representative Steve Stivers (R-OH) has joined the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, joining over fifty Members of the House of Representatives to collaborate on practical solutions to climate change.

Co-chaired by Representative Ted Deutch (D-FL) and Francis Rooney (R-FL), the Climate Solutions Caucus is the only bipartisan group in Congress focused solely on climate change.

Representative Stivers has previously supported legislation that enforces the Clean Water Act, reauthorized the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, advocated for funding for federal programs aimed at ensuring drinking water quality, and recently supported new efforts to regulate the cleanup of “forever chemicals.

He is also a cosponsor of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Permanent Funding Act, the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, and the Better Energy Storage Technology (BEST) Act, all bipartisan solutions that protect current environmental treasures, and invest in the future of clean technology.
