The following may be attributed to Representative Steve Stivers (R-OH), regarding additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, which was established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act:
“The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) directly supports the millions of small businesses across this country, which in turn, supports the millions of families employed on Main Street. Since the PPP was stood up, more money has been lent through the 7(a) program than in all of 2019, demonstrating just how vital this program is as we strive to beat this pandemic, and Congress needs to ensure that there is adequate funding to meet the need.”
